Becoming a member
Becoming a OnePoll Panel community member is quick and easy, all you have to do is create your account, providing your full name, an email address and password and you’ll be ready to start your journey.
For quality and data protection purposes, you’ll then receive a verification link. This helps us prevent fraudulent accounts being set-up and ensures that we follow a double opt-in process. Just be sure to check your junk file and add us to your safe senders list so you don’t miss out on surveys and community updates.
Once in, you’ll need to complete the profile activities. These are quick questions that gather information about your occupation, family status, lifestyle, hobbies and much more. We gather hundreds of data points in your profile to ensure that we can effectively match panellists with our surveys. The more complete your profile is, the more frequently you’ll get a survey to complete and the quicker your credit amount will grow.
Panel management
We’ve been building our bespoke UK panel for nearly 17 years and incorporate very active panel management and panel quality procedures to maximise our panel and ensure data quality.

For quality assurance purposes we track:
- Every member log-in
- Every email sent
- Every click through
- All survey statuses
Our panels are used solely for market research and surveys conducted by OnePoll which enables us to store survey participation information at both a survey and member level. Each survey is then subject to our comprehensive data quality processes and all surveys that fail our quality standards are removed. Members that provide unusable data on three occasions are automatically removed from our panel community.
Our fraud detection processes include:
- Quality control questions
- IP geo-mapping
- Response time
- Straight-line traps
- Blacklists
All panel community members go through our fraud detection processes at the point of double opt-in, survey entry and throughout surveys. Validations of profile data against survey responses is undertaken to further maximise data quality.
Panel partners
When projects require sample beyond the scope of OnePoll’s sampling capabilities, we have access to a global network of tried and trusted panel partners.
Each of our partners has been through a comprehensive vetting process, using ESOMAR28, MRS guidelines and sample trials. Elements of the vetting process include:
- Sample supplier contract reviews
This looks at the fair and lawful sourcing of data
- Sample supplier auditing
Ensuring that there are clear process for data collection, privacy and accreditations with professional bodies and supplier watch lists
- Sample supplier questionnaire
This ensures that OnePoll knows the origin and journey of data collection, data processing and data maintenance.
All sample suppliers in our network are regularly reviewed to ensure our high standards are maintained and any updates in industry standards or legal requirements are met.
